An important process in the manufacture of Hermetic elements is sealing. Elements are sealed to prevent the ingress of moisture, which becomes particularly important when the circuits supplying the elements are controlled by earth leakage circuit breakers. During the sealing process a plastic space cap can be fitted to enable compliance with IEC, AS and NZ standards for clearance and creapage distances. |
