Hermetic New Zealand's plant, employing over 70 people, produces in excess of one million tubular sheathed elements per annum with the capacity for future growth
The tubular material, resistance wire and high grade magnesium oxide used will vary, dependent an the element's final application. This is to ensure that the electrical, thermal and mechanical characteristics will meet the customer's application requirements.
Finished rod diameters range from 6.25mm to 8.0mm for incoloy and stainless steel and 8.0mm for copper sheathed elements with lengths from 300mm to 3000mm. Alternative materials are always considered, based on customer requirements and technological advancement.
